New entrance and reglazing on a nineteenth-century party-wall frontage, working to an opening that was nowhere near square.

What the job involved
Placeholder content demonstrating an entrance-led project record. City frontage of this age routinely turns out to be out of plumb by an inch or more across its height, which is the kind of detail a real entry would state precisely.
A published version would carry the measured deviation, what it meant for the framing, and how the door was hung to still swing true.
Scope of work
- Survey and record the as-built opening at head, center and sill
- Supply and install aluminum entrance framing to the measured opening
- Hang a heavy-stile entrance door with panic hardware
- Reglaze the adjacent fixed lites in laminated glass
- Adjust closer and weatherstrip under load

Laminated — two lites bonded to a 0.060 in. PVB interlayer, for security and street noise

2 in. x 4-1/2 in. center-set aluminum, clear anodized
Door system
Heavy-stile aluminum entrance, butt hinges, concealed closer, rim panic device
