What a proper board-up involves
Clearing the remaining glass out of the frame safely, protecting the glazing pocket so the frame can be reglazed later, and fixing the board so it holds without destroying the aluminum it is fastened to.
A board-up that damages the frame turns a reglaze into a system replacement.

What should I do before you arrive?
